Zuellig Pharma – one of the largest healthcare service providers in Asia, established an office in Vietnam in 1999. After 21 years of standing firmly in the market, Zuellig Pharma has affirmed its home brand. The largest multinational service provider in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries in Vietnam. With a team of more than 1200 employees, the optimal training method to ensure quality synchronization in all 4 branches is always the most important factor. Let’s find out how Zuellig Pharma Vietnam has applied e-Learning to innovate the way training content is presented!
1. The problem in finding the optimal training method
With the advantage of an international corporation, Zuellig Pharma is one of the few enterprises in Vietnam that has successfully built a complete e-Learning system from LMS to training content. Because of putting the criteria of building employee engagement on top, Zuellig Pharma Vietnam’s Board of Directors is very concerned about whether the current e-Learning system is attractive enough for learners to participate and interact with each other.
1.1. The form of content expression is not appropriate
Although e-Learning has been used for a long time, it has not brought the desired results. Feedback from participants showed that the current presentation of the content was long and did not focus on the main topic. Therefore, the core issue is whether the current training content is appropriate. Aware of that, the company’s e-Learning Department has found a problem to improve, which is to innovate the form of content presentation to maximize training effectiveness.
1.2. Interaction with learners is limited
Increasing the interactions in the course is also a problem mentioned because the current interactions are not diverse, so it is difficult to stimulate the participation of students. Learners can only click “Next” or “Back” but do not interact with the learning content, making learners feel passive and difficult to remember. Therefore, along with innovating the form of content expression is increasing the variety of interactions.
2. How has Amber changed the form of training content at Zuellig Pharma?
Immediately after receiving the request, Amber researched and analyzed why the current content was not suitable to find the optimal improvement method.
2.1. Innovating the form of expressing training content
Firstly, the training content on soft skills for middle managers will need in-depth knowledge and continuously updated to support the best professional skills development. Instead of simple, boring knowledge, Amber integrates storytelling elements into the content to connect the parts of the lesson into a story throughout. The positive change is reflected in Zuellig’s managers feeling more receptive and more effective.
2.2. Increase the variety of interactions
Second, Amber uses gamification to bring the game element into the lesson by role-playing, doing the same task as when playing a game. Learners are stimulated to overcome challenges, so they will keep their excitement in the process of discovering knowledge. This is also what makes the company completely convinced with the e-Learning product from Amber. The soft skills training course for middle managers – important personnel in the business has been more effective than expected by timely updating and innovation.
